IMG_0043 (480x640).jpg

First Logger Chainsaw Art was created in 1952 totally with a Chainsaw. There were no carving tools present. Many loggers watched Ray Murphy saw names and faces in the beginning. Other loggers tried to do it and found it to be harder than it looks. As the word spread some loggers were successful at making art. About 1960 wood carvers started using chainsaws along with all of their many carving tools and called it chainsaw carving. Ray still today refuses to do any carving.
